There are several HBCUs in Mississippi including Rust and Tougaloo (private), Mississippi Valley State and Jackson State. Rust's homecoming was back in November. I attended and was delighted at how excited the city gets about the homecoming parade. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.
